Like many others, we love to sail all year round.
Since we moved aboard Idéfix, we have searched and looked everywhere for a local cruising guide, that could tell us which marinas are possible to visit in Limfjorden during the winter. No such thing existed until now! – Therefore:
The crew aboard our beloved Idéfix are so proud to present:
The Winter Cruising on Limfjorden, Denmark
We have decided to rank the marinas in different colours:
We choose to call the green category of marinas for “Pay as you use”.
Based on that a green marina is most eco-friendly because you pay for everything.
Example: You don’t turn on the water and let the water running longer than you need.
These marinas offer something to you after you have paid for your stay, but you still have to pay for some other stuff.
Example: You get the electricity for free, but have to pay if you what to take a shower.
All inclusive marinas, you know the concept from the package holidays. After you paid for the stay, you have free access to everything, not the most eco-friendly. But of course the “cheapest way” if you don’t care for the environment.
Since it’s cold in Denmark in the winter time, all the marinas don’t have water on the piers. In some, it’s possible to get water, if you bring your water hose.
The price is what we paid for Idéfix. If you haven’t seen the boat tour yet, we suggest you do that.
If you know some marinas that are open during the winter season in Limfjorden, then send us an email with info about the marina, and hopefully a picture of your boat in the marina. And we will add that to our guide.
